Youth are back bone to the nation<\/strong>.

They can change the future of the society with their well being. Young people are a crucial segment of society. They are the basis for future development. Young people are social actors of change and can serve as a pressure group to lobby governments in defining their priorities.
\u00a0
Gross socio-economic disparities have impacted highly on the youths in Kenya. Majorities have trashed dreams of building impressive futures.Due to these depressing conditions, there has been a tangent increase in social ills, crime and drugs among the youth. There is a general lack of opportunities for the youth in Kenya, which leads to a loss in potential talent.<\/p>\n

\u00a0Empowering Kenyan youth requires simultaneous efforts on multiple fronts:<\/strong>
\u00a0Youth should be encouraged to work together across ethnic, social, and political lines to advance their common interests to participate in the political and economic life of the country.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Empowerment of youth means giving them a full education in academics but also life skills, civic participation, appreciation of diversity, and preparation for livelihoods.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Empowering youth means creating opportunity. This includes expanded apprenticeships and attachments, mentoring programs, financial, legal, marketing and other advice, and establishing a level playing field in terms of access to jobs, markets and to capital.<\/p>\n

\u00a0We should foster, develop and support youth initiative as well as a strong representational youth voice in the service and decision-making life of our community. We should also engage youth as resources on a grass root, national and International basis<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
